A quick hobby update

My painting desk is currently filled with pieces from my painting tray as I try to finish the last pieces before the end of June. There are Modern Swedish vehicles and 2 Saab Viggen planes, 4 Iraqi aircraft, and another 50 or so Dark Ages Welsh. These are all in various stages of completeness due to my usual scattered approach.

Over the last month or so I’ve completed some painted figures and with the recent Orcs that were finished, I now have reasonable amount to base up. I’ll write up a step by step guide on this. Its a slow method but one I am happy with although I wonder about all the work I put into the ground/dirt, only to cover it with flock.

There is 10 bases of orcs and a couple of other fantasy bases including a 30mm test base of Wood Elves.

On the Napoleonic front I repainted another battalion of Austrian infantry and some guns and crew. There should be more artillery crew but I can’t find them.

And I finished my first unit of Alder French Napoleonics. The are lovely figures but I’m not looking forward to basing them! The way they are mounted on strips means I will have to glue down each figure individually and apply ground cover around them. I’ve still got quite a few like this but any future purchases will be in march attack pose, which should be quicker and easier to base.
